Celebrating David Bowie

My good friend Scrote brought me aboard to Celebrate the artistry of David Bowie on many shows in Los Angeles over the past few years.  We rocked the Berlin years at the Blue Whale, and at Molly Malones.  After David Bowie’s passing, the next Celebrating show at the Roxy in February of 2016 became epic, starring the likes of Gary Oldman, Mike Garson, Seal, Ewan McGregor, and Angelo Moore.  The shows after that became history–San Francisco, London, New York City, Los Angeles (two nights at the Wiltern), Sydney (two nights at the Sydney Opera House), Tokyo, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Reykjavík.  Every show I try to honor the man and the artist by honoring his love for Little Richard and rock and roll by channeling a good dose of Lee Allen into every solo.

During the shows at the Wiltern, Paul Bushnell celebrated his birthday on the 25th.  After finishing the second night, my birthday happened (the 26th of January).  What a celebration!  Everyone singing happy birthday to Paul and I, and sparking it up with the one and only Tony Hadley!
